It is the beginning of the New Year and there has already been a lot going on, and of course, there’s plenty more to come!  Since the arrival of the new stock from across the globe we have made several changes to our extensive showrooms as well as our re-designed roof garden.  Recent additions to the garden department include two fountains and some imposing 7ft high urns (URNG10033) which give the terrace a fresh new look.

The success of our recent purchases gave an added incentive to seek out new and exciting pieces for this years productions.  A range of fine early 17th Century pieces have been collected, including a rare, carved, ivory, Spanish vargueno (BOXB10067) and a beautifully sculpted, carved wood Saint (CARB10048).  If you’re in a spiritual mood our enlarged selection of 19th Century Buddha’s could be just what you need.

The latest films feature many pieces from our collection, including Casino Royale, Notes on a Scandal, Miss Potter, Breaking and Entering and Children of Men, to name but a few.

Farley’s restoration department continues with its commitment to maintaining the collection at its best and providing alterations for specific requirements.  A recent, painstaking refurbishment of an early cabin trunk (LUGT10017) has returned this popular item to near mint condition, it even has working locks!

The Old Master Painting collection at Spiller has not been overlooked, with some fine additions to the range.  Original works, ‘en grisaille’, of cherubs (SP012334, SP012335, SP012336, SP012337) have a resonance with modern interiors as do the newly acquired Elizabethan portraits.

We are currently adding more and more images of the Props Galore textiles and costume accessories to the website and especially for you girls, there are now 400 handbags to view!

As always there is plenty to see and our experienced team look forward to showing you around in the near future.
